I am a visual artist working with photography, film, and image-based installation. My practice explores photographic, visual, and reproductive devices as sites of inquiry into the conditions of perception and image-making. I am particularly interested in the automatism of the apparatus and its capacity to generate images between human intention and mechanical agency.
Working with optical, analogue, and digital devices, I often apply deliberate constraints to the photographic process to restage everyday visibility and allow ambiguous or ungraspable images to emerge.
My work further engages with staging and performative strategies in the history of photography, using them to question how images acquire cultural meaning and to reconfigure the act of seeing.
Based in Germany and Portugal, I was a Meisterschülerin of Hito Steyerl at the University of the Arts (UdK) Berlin, where I also studied with Leiko Ikemura and completed my degree under the supervision of Stan Douglas. I am a recipient of the UdK President’s Prize and the DAAD graduation grant.
My work has been exhibited internationally, including at König Galerie (Berlin), Presentation House Gallery/Polygon Gallery (Vancouver), and Centro Cultural Montehermoso (Vitoria-Gasteiz). I have participated in residencies at Artspace Sydney and the Banff Centre for the Arts.

2023–present — Studio Practice
New cycles of artistic experimentation developed through the culmination of previous research and curatorial inquiry.
2020–present — Transdisciplinary Curating and Project Coordination
Goethe-Institut Lisbon. Development and coordination of projects linking philosophy, colonial memory, and AI (e.g., Filo Lisboa, ReMapping, Art Meets Tech), extending artistic research toward the social and technological functions of the image.
2012–2018 — Research in Film and Philosophy
Research in Filmwissenschaft (Freie Universität Berlin) and PhD studies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, focusing on the film works of Marguerite Duras and Artavazd Pelechian.
